Mon 3rd January 2010 Despite the wintry weather, over 90 people turned out at O’Neill’s pub in Poplar Road, Solihull last Tuesday evening [Dec. 29] to support the Birmingham Exiles quiz in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Service which is funded entirely by voluntary means. Exiles would particularly like to mention the “Tiger Woods” team, led by Gary, who, having no prior connection to the club, came to take part after reading about the event in the local Solihull papers [to whom much thanks] The evening raised over £500 for the Service, and the club are hopeful of being able to stage further, similar events during the remainder of the season.
